My Story

I could begin by telling you that before the age of 22 I had worked in a secure mental hospital, been a cowgirl in Australia and a diplomat's spouse in Egypt, but nobody would believe that story, so I better start somewhere else...

Throughout my entire professional life, I have been a part of teams that tell stories from TV commercials, TV series, movies and cartoons to children’s books and magazines.

I began my career in the movie industry as a runner and climbed my way up the ladder to become a production manager always loving the passionate atmosphere on set. But after six years I wanted to try a new role and learn how to tell the stories myself. All types of stories in all types of formats.

This led to a Master's in Communication and from there on to Bonnier Publications and then Egmont Creative Solutions - a company that developed licensed print products for global players such as Disney, Hasbro and Mattel. Here I had Lightning McQueen, Buzz Lightyear, Barbie, Hello Kitty, Spider-Man and Petzi as my closest colleagues for four years, until I spent almost five adventurous and magical years with the Disney princesses as the global editor in charge of developing Disney's international flagship title, "Disney Princess Magazine".

After a brief stint as a senior project manager in the movie dubbing industry, I returned to the role of an editor and writer, this time at Globe Publishing. Here, I created nonfiction books for children worldwide in the book+ category, always with a focus of learning through play.

But Egmont has always had a special place in my heart, so when I got the opportunity to become a part of a new team at Carlsen Creative, I happily re-joined the Egmont family. This time the main goal was to help bring some of their most beloved characters and universes to life in physical games.
