My Story

I could begin by telling you that before the age of 22 I had worked in a secure mental hospital, been a cowgirl in Australia and a diplomat’s spouse in Egypt — but nobody would believe that story, so I better start somewhere else.

Throughout my professional life, I have been part of teams that bring stories to life — from TV commercials, TV series, movies and cartoons to children’s books and magazines.

I began my career in the movie industry as a runner and worked my way up to production manager, thriving in the intense and collaborative atmosphere on set. After six years, however, I felt a growing desire to move closer to the stories themselves and to explore storytelling across formats.

This led me to a Master’s degree in Communication and on to roles at Bonnier Publications and later Egmont Creative Solutions, where I worked with licensed print products for global brands such as Disney, Hasbro and Mattel. For several years, my everyday collaborators included characters like Lightning McQueen, Buzz Lightyear, Barbie, Hello Kitty, Spider-Man, and the Danish darling, Rasmus Klump.

I then spent almost five adventurous and magical years as global editor on Disney Princess Magazine, developing Disney’s international flagship title for children around the world.

After a brief return to the film industry as a senior project manager within dubbing, I moved back into publishing as an editor and writer at Globe Publishing, creating nonfiction books for children in the book+ category, always with a focus on learning through play.

Today, I work with startups in a coordinating and developmental role. Alongside this, I am developing my own story universe for children, centered around sleep and imagination.
